In addition to their time in Washington, D.C., NRA Youth Education Summit participants compete for up to $40,000 in scholarships as they go through the Y.E.S. program. The week wraps up with a celebratory dinner where scholarships are awarded to those exceptional students who embody leadership as both individuals and as a collective. Students with an interest in becoming NRA Ambassadors can submit applications the following year for a chance to receive Grand Scholarship funds.
Scholarships are paid directly to the accredited college or technical school of the student’s choice. Since its inception in 1996, more than 900 students have graduated from Y.E.S. and over $700,000 in college scholarships have been awarded.
